Assignment 3: Macro

Russell Patton: Lizard

For the most part, the lizards I was trying to focus on were quite elusive and difficult to photograph. Here, I was luckily able to get close enough that the lizard filled most of the frame. I took the photo using a 55-250mm zoom at the longest end so that I could stay as far away from the lizard as possible.

The narrow depth of field is illustrated by the fact that the lizard's back leg is out of focus while the body is very well focused. The photo was cropped slightly using Photoshop and the levels were shifted a little (which made the colors of the lizard more vibrant and the background darker).
