Yaya Campbell: Native Cowboy

For this photo, I asked a friend who is familiar with horses to dress up in his cowboy gear (which is an attire he wears quite often) and we headed out to the stables to take some photos. In this shot, he is sitting on the fence near the horses with the afternoon sun shining from behind him. I later adjusted the brightness levels to emphasize his strong features. I also altered the saturation so that it is mostly black and white with a hint of sepia undertone.

I set the aperture at f/11 to keep him in focus and have the background be slightly out of focus. For the shutter speed, since it was a sunny day, there was enough light to have a slight quick exposure time and low ISO, while still avoiding motion blur.
