Some common conventions for these terms:

Radiant Energy Q: Energy of electromagnetic radiation, Joules (J)

Radiant Power phi: Radiant energy transmitted per unit time, Watt (W = J/s)

Irradiance E: Radiant flux received per unit surface area, Watt per square meter (W/m^2)

Radiosity M: Radiant flux emitted per unit surface area, Watt per square meter (W/m^2)

Radiance L: Radiant flux transmitted (received or emitted) per unit solid angle per unit project area, Watt per steradian per square meter (W/sr*m^2)

Note: surface radiance/luminance is flux leaving per unit solid angle per unit project area

Radiant Intensity I: Radiant flux emitted per unit solid angle, Watt per steradian (W/sr)
