	    What limits should society place on ubiquitous sensing?


1.  Where should we draw the line on public space (viz video surveillance)?
	- How about aerial photography of private homes?

2.  Do people have a right to know if they are under surveillance?
	- Should cameras blink, like telephone calls beep if recorded?
	- Do we need to color-code carpets in buildings?

3.  What limits should be placed on identification of individuals?
	- Can I build a model of a person (shape & behavior) if I call him "X"?

4.  What limits should be placed on association of datatypes (data mining)?
	- Can I identify a person if I don't also look up his credit rating?

5.  What limits should be placed on dissemination of surveillance data?
	- To security personnel vrs to everyone in a company vrs on the web?
	- How long can data be kept?

6.  To what extent can surveillance data be repurposed?
	- Must a priest report a confession of murder?
	- If traffic cams can prove speeding, how about personal video?
