VRML 2.0: Interactive 3D Graphics on the Internet

Abstract

VRML, the standard for transmitting 3D objects and worlds across the internet, is about to become truly useful. I'll talk a little about the VRML standardization process, and will discuss the constraints and goals for the latest version of the VRML spec (VRML 2.0). I'll also present a high-level overview of the software architecture of Moving Worlds, the proposal that is about to become the VRML 2.0 Draft Specification, and will point out some features of both the process and the design that suprised me.
