Linux
The lab runs the CentOS distribution (freeware version of RedHat Enterprise Linux)
or the Ubuntu version of Debian after minor local changes to configuration files which:
- Set up CUPS printers
- Configure NTP time servers
- Automount home directories
- Hook in to the authentication system
Before updating your configuration, you must have your Linux machine registered
as an authentication client by sending e-mail to
support at graphics.stanford.edu
The response to that e-mail will contain the detailed configuration instructions.
