Mailing Lists

• Public Lists
  The main mailing lists are handled by the campus majordomo service.
  By convention, the mailing lists for the lab all begin with the prefix graphics-
  Information on joining, configuring, and posting can be found at:
  Lists.Stanford.EDU

  Group Lists
  Although the mailing lists for individual professor's research groups are also handled at lists.stanford.edu, these are closed lists. Membership in these lists must be requested of the faculty member.

  Personal Lists
  Lightweight personal lists can be handled through the extension address facility.
  Every valid mail address, e.g. descartes can be extended with a hyphen to form a family of new addresses. Each of these new mail addresses is valid and can have independent delivery instructions in its own .exim file or be recognized by a mail filter.
