Conclusions

In this project, the CONDENSATION based visual tracking system is implemented, and some important issues are discussed. Although some parts of the implementation are a bit modified for simplicity, the core of the algorithm was closely followed, and the results successfully shows how the algorithm works.

The visual tracking of the contour has lots of applications like HCI, human motion analysis, computer animation, and video scene interpretation for surveillance to name a few. The accurate tracking of the target is critical for those application, and the real time system can be benefited from using non-Gaussian simulation method like CONDENSATION.
