A park, on the south end of Gustine. I stopped here to refill my
water bottles and take a nap in the shade.
San Luis Dam is HUGE. This is only one section of the dam; it has
several sections, divided by the intervening hills. The second
picture is a blow-up, to show that those tiny specks at the bottom
of the dam are indeed buildings. By my crude estimates, the dam
was 400 feet high, and several miles long.
Windsurfers skim across O'Neill Reservoir, below San Luis Dam.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of San Luis Reservoir (I kept
telling myself, "just around the corner I'll see a good view", until
the reservoir disappeared from sight).
A sign warns of the winds over Pacheco Pass.
