The Arno River

A look east from the Ponte Alle Grazie bridge.

A look east from the Ponte Santa Trinita bridge, toward the Ponte Vecchio (old bridge).

Tourists rent a scull and go rowing on the Arno.

The muddy river is constantly fueled by the daily rains. There are discrete points (such as this Alle Grazie bridge) where the river runs fast. The river is mostly calm through Florence.

On Sunday, the riverbank is crowded with fishermen.
