It couldn't be a Brunonian Thanksgiving without weird vegan food. We purchased an "Un-Turkey" for our main course.

Cooking a tofu turkey is more complicated than it first appears... Neel and Dan debate defrosting time.

Merrie and Hesh pose with some tofurkey -- it looks like the real thing!

Neel cooks up some cranberry sauce from scratch.

Salad, cranberry sauce, yams, bread, Un-Turkey, and pumpkin pie. It's beginning to look like Thanksgiving...

Merrie and Dan relax after the meal. We're sitting on the floor since Hesh was in the midst of moving apartments, so all his furniture was across town.

We double-dog-dared Hesh to drink this cup of vegan gravy.

Amazingly, he agreed to do it for four dollars. Maybe Intel isn't paying him enough...

Victorious, Hesh displays his hard-earned cash.

It's not really Thanksgiving without a game of Settlers of Catan. Good thing Mike was prepared.

On Friday we hung out in downtown Portland. After spending some time in gigantic Powell's books, we had some authentic Pacific Northwest coffee.

We also saw the Portland waterfront at dusk.

Portland boasts the world's smallest park -- it's only 24 inches in diameter!

The ride back took 13 hours, but at least we got to watch lots of lambs grazing near the side of the highway!
