Assignment 3: Macro

I caught this crane fly hanging around my venetian blinds and had to capture it at this angle. The insect was restless, so I had little time to fiddle with the settings to get better DoF and color. Although I'm satisfied with the sharpness of the eye and body, I wish the mouth parts and side appendages were in focus.

Camera Settings: Macro extension tube used, 1/160s exposure + f/4 for sharpness, ISO 400 to compensate for low light

Post processing: The insect has more muted colors as compared to the background, so I desaturated the image and adjusted colors. Cropping was also done
