Assignment 4: ArchitectureKylie Poppen
I wanted to capture the feeling of wonder at the magnitude of the building itself; therefore, the panorama portrays a viewers perspective from focusing on the most prominent area (the front) and following the columns up to the gorgeous ceiling, all the way to the organ in the very back. This was tricky since Memorial Church is quite dark and I don't own a tripod. For this reason, I opened the aperture as far as it can go on my camera (f/3.5) and set the shutter speed to 1/5 while hoping that I could stay still enough. It turned out pretty well! I then used Photoshop to stitch the photos together, connecting the two panoramas (front and back of the view) by hand, giving one full view.
