Assignment 7: Night

Pong Chakthranont: Cloudy Night Sky

My friends and I drove down on Highway 25 to the south of Hollister city to take photos of the Camelopardalids meteor shower. Unfortunately, it was a very cloudy night and I could only get a glimpse of the Milky Way under the clouds. I used my wide-angle lens and the largest aperture of f/2.8 and ISO of 1250. I used manual focus and first I had to take several shots using a high ISO and to make sure that the photo would be in focus. I shot the photo with 52 s exposure using a remote control.

The photo was edited in Photoshop CC. I increased the clarity, vibrance, and sharpness of the photo. I also added a blue soft light gradient filter and white overlay filter to lower the overall temperature.
