Note: L() is the radiance, P() is the pixel response, and S() is a function of when the shutter is open, so we are integrating with respect to the sensor, aperture and shutter.


I was curious how human eyes perceive motion blur and found something called "Saccadic masking" ( Where brain cuts of image processing when eyes are moving very fast. I wonder if this is used to skip rendering some frames because we know human eyes will skip processing them anyway.
