Usage
The sync generator is the source for house sync, which gets routed to many
of the pieces of equipment that we use. For example, any of the inputs
marked "black burst" or "genlock in" come from here. (Or from a video DA
that's fed from here.)
The sync generator also is the source for colorbars and tone, which
are put at the beginning of tapes. Details.
The sync is also the source for black, which is used for blacking tapes.
