Corn Bread

Servings: Makes 1 loaf



Preheat oven to 370. Melt the butter with the margarine and set aside. Sift the flour with the corn meal, the sugar, the salt, and the baking powder (you can probably just mix it well with a whisk). In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, add the milk, and the melted shortening (butter and margarine). Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ones, and stir together.

Pour into a loaf pan that has been greased and bake for about 40 minutes. insert a knife to check that the inside is done.
