Assistant Professor at University of California, San Diego
I am doing research and teaching in computer graphics specializing in realistic image synthesis, global illumination, rendering natural phenomena, and appearance modeling.
1999-2002
Research Associate at Stanford University
Derived new BSSRDF model for rendering translucent materials, and developed techniques for rendering the night sky as well as scenes with smoke and fire.
1998-1999
Postdoctoral Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Developed subsurface scattering algorithm based on photon maps, worked on weathering simulations, city lighting and advanced material models.
