a lonely girl at Half Moon Bay

Taken at around 8:00 to take advantage of the "Golden Hour." Pretty hard since shooting into the sun. Fairly dark, so I used a high ISO and set the shutter to as long as I could reasonably handhold and progressively opened the aperture until I was happy with the exposure. I felt the girl at the bottom of the frame anchored the image and gave a sense of scale to the landscape.

Used an overlay in Photoshop to selectively bring out the colors in the sky. The camera over-compensated the white balance towards blue, so I readjusted to give the picture a warm tone. Cropped in tighter on the girl.
